38th Annual Galleon Auction

 

On this website you can make a donation and browse the silent auction catalog.

Donations raised for this year's Fund-a-Need will be used to replace lockers in the Columbus Middle and High School.

 

The 2021 Galleon Virtual Event is open to all.  Because it’s virtual, there will be no charge. Friends, family and alumni who do not live close by are welcome to participate (however, prizes DO need to be picked up from the school).

 

The Galleon Virtual Event will kick off with the Silent Auction opening on Monday, April 26 at 12:00 pm and will continue until after the Galleon Live Premier Presentation on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 6:00 pm. The Live Premier Event will include Columbus Catholic Schools speakers, the Class of 2021 presentation, the Fund-a-Need video, and raffle drawings. The online silent auction will end Friday, April 30 at 7:30 pm.

 

Fund-a-Need Details

100% of the Galleon proceeds will go towards Fund-a-Need.  This year our goal is to raise $90,000 - $100,000 for new lockers for the High / Middle School buildings.  Our current lockers are quite old; some are even the originals from 1952!  They frequently get jammed and many of them are rusty inside.  The new lockers will be quieter; have fewer moving parts so they are less likely to break; will have locking mechanisms built in; and 5% of the lockers will be ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant. 

 

The price of steel has been fluctuating so this year we will have a “goal range” instead of a firm dollar amount.  Any remaining funds (should we have any) will be used for organizational systems for Our Lady of Peace Intermediate and St. John the Baptist Primary Schools.

 

Also, anyone who donates a minimum of $50 to Fund-a-Need will be entered into a drawing to win some great prizes.  (This does not include anyone who won an item in the silent auction.)  The deadline to make a donation to Fund-a-Need is Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 4:00 pm.  Drawing will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 at 8:00 am.  Winners will be contacted and posted online.

 

Silent Auction Details

  • Online auction begins Monday, April 26, 2021 at noon and closes Friday, April 30, 2021 at 7:30 pm.
  • Only credit card payments accepted for items won.
  • Proceeds benefit our 2021 Fund-a-Need.
  • Silent auction winners will need to pick up their prizes from the school.  Specific pickup dates will be emailed to winners.
